Why “Point of Care?”

We believe that the ability to look into a structure and evaluate it at the point of contact allows for a more definitive diagnosis. This, in many circumstances, reduces redundant testing, adds certainty to the course of treatment, is more convenient for the patient, and keeps revenue in the clinic.

Is there a downside of “Point of Care Ultrasound”?

Yes, as it is done now. Typically, the need for ultrasound is identified in one particular area. The next step is to research, choose and purchase equipment. The equipment is delivered and you and your staff are given one or two days of training. This does not allow you the time necessary to gain the knowledge required to competently or confidently use your new machine when it is needed. It just takes too much time. Your time is better spent seeing patients. Your new machine sits unused, yet payments are still due every month.

What is our solution?

Time! We give you the time to develop a familiarity with the use of ultrasound. We show you how to take a quick look, to get the diagnosis, and teach someone from your staff to do the time consuming documentation required law. In planning your equipment needs we can give you a good idea what your volume will be and what capabilities you need. We will show you how to expand the use of ultrasound in your practice. Although there may be exams that are too infrequent, time consuming, or complicated for you and your staff, there is still no need to send them elsewhere for their exam. Echo To Go can come in and do 'specialty' exams' in your office. Meanwhile, you will be realizing the revenue from studies done on your patients.

Can I get good, diagnostic studies with an office machine?

Absolutely! The quality of equipment available for the price of a new pickup truck is as capable as the best machines available for $200,000.00 one generation ago. Recent advances in transducer technology and image processing are all included in notebook based units. For a slightly lower price, there are cart based units available if portability is not a high priority.
